We are looking to recruit to our newly created role, Assistant Fire System Contract Manager. You’ll be joining the Fire Safety team to play a valuable role in respect of the contract management.
The role will see you out and about throughout of operating region, completing site walk arounds and audits on our contractors, as well as ensuring projects are on track.
You’ll have valuable experience in this field, understanding how utilising systems and working within processes really supports the best outcomes.
Day to day you will find yourself –
* Assisting with the planning and scheduling of compliance operatives
* Overseeing cyclical, response and planned maintenance workstreams
* Reviewing and maintaining accurate records of completed works and initiating remedial actions
* Collaborating with maintenance and housing colleagues, helping to ensure minimal disruption to services
About you
You’ll need to be happy to travel for the role, as you’re likely to be out on site at least once a week.
Our operating region covers Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and London so you’ll be happy to travel throughout the region and will ideally be based quite centrally.
You will come to the role with a relevant professional qualification or demonstrable experience in surveying, planning or working in a technical field.
You will have experience in managing and delivering significant electrical works.
You’ll be able to demonstrate your leadership experience and how you can strategically manage external contractors.
You will have knowledge of housing legislation, health and safety regulations and compliance in social housing.
You’ll have strong IT skills, a logical approach to processes and will happy work within deadlines.
As travel will be a part of the role, you’ll need to have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
