Contek Recruitment are currently working exclusively with a metal finishing company, located in Coventry, who due to growth are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.
COMPANY PROFILE: Our client is a family-owned business based in Coventry, UK. They specialise in providing surface finishing solutions. Our client manufactures a range of special purpose machinery, consumables, and offers a subcontract finishing service. Their products are supplied into a range of industries from Automotive, Aerospace, Medical and 3D Printing.
WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday (08:00 until 16:30)
SALARY/PAY: £40k-£42k per year (Dependent on experience)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
2. Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
3. Improves manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
4. Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
5. Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labour, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
6. Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
7. Coordinates with company branch offices for manufacturing projects - reviewing drawings, layouts, project specification sheets etc.
8. Planning and organising maintenance.
9. Liaising with suppliers, customers and research and development staff.

6. Knowledge of equipment for installation and repairs.
HOLIDAYS: You will be entitled to 18 working days annual holiday per year, plus New Year's Day (1st January), Good Friday, Easter Monday, May Day, Spring Bank Holiday, August Bank Holiday, and Christmas Shutdown. The holiday year runs from 1st January to 31st December. In the years of joining and leaving, holiday entitlement is calculated proportionately.
