Purpose of the role: To assist in the day to day running of the Warehouse operations at Ceres Power’s Production site in Redhill. Main duties will be the booking of all material received to site using the MRP System, the preparation and packaging of goods for customer shipments, kitting of internal production orders & maintaining material flow to production, whilst always maintaining excellent inventory control. Although this role will be primarily based at the Redhill site, there will be a requirement to also work at our other warehouse based in Horsham for up to 2 days per week, and so the ability to travel between sites is a prerequisite. Key Accountabilities: Loading and unloading delivery vehicles. (with forklift truck or by hand) Sorting and moving stock within warehouses including receiving, counting, checking and booking onto MRP system. Liaising with accounts department to resolve invoicing queries. Service Kanban delivery of materials to production areas. Regular communication with Test department (Horsham site) to ensure flow of material in maintained. Understand and follow Work Instructions for correct storage of all materials. Packaging and despatching finished goods for export according to Work Instructions. Driving of company van may be required, to support inter site material transfers. Keep work areas clean and tidy. Compliance with all health and safety requirements. Knowledge and skills required for the role: Good experience of warehouse or stores work, in a busy environment Full UK driving licence Computer literate, experienced with MRP data entry Ability to work to deadlines with excellent attention to detail Good communication skills Able to cooperate with people and to work both within a team environment and independently Reliable and conscientious Awareness of health and safety issues (additional training will be given) Forklift truck licence preferred, forklift driving experience essential (training can be provided) Role is based at Redhill but working at Horsham will be required The role is physically demanding and will involve outside working in all weather conditions
