To start from 1st September 2025, we are looking for an exceptional Business and Economics teacher who will inspire and motivate students in this high achieving state-funded day and boarding school for boys in the lower school and large mixed Sixth Form.
We are looking for candidates with enthusiasm, high expectations, and standards who will create a buzz and excitement both within and beyond the confines of the classroom. The successful candidate will have to demonstrate an ability to deliver outstanding academic results and exemplary classroom practice. This position is equally suitable for an experienced teacher and one new to the profession.
Business and Economics is line managed by the Head of Sixth Form as the majority of teaching is at Sixth Form level (along with other Social Science subjects Law and Psychology). We also run courses in Years 10 and 11.
We currently offer the following courses:
1. AQA Business A Level
2. NCFE L1/2 Technical Award in Business and Enterprise
All courses are very popular and outcomes are usually strong.
The School also has a vibrant extra-curricular life, which includes sport, music, drama, outdoor activities, debating, and public speaking. A willingness to contribute will be a clear advantage.
