Main Purpose of Role:
To work within our engineering team to facilitate a safe, effective and efficient environment for our Attleborough site to ensure we can produce our awarding winning meals. Delivering maintenance routines which include building machinery, maintaining facilities, as well as reactive fault finding and root cause analysis of site breakdowns, plus any other tasks requested to aid the efficient running of the engineering environment.
Shift details: 4 on 4 off, x1.5 overtime allowance Inclusive hourly rate
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
1. You will be able to maintain, manage, diagnose, repair and understand food processing machinery (e.g. sealing, weighing, packing machinery), site services (e.g. boilers, refrigeration, water treatment, cooling towers) and automation and control (e.g. inverters, PLCs, sensors).
2. You will need to have a good understanding and proven delivery of planned, preventative, reactive and predictive maintenance, with the ability to further enhance existing systems, processes and documents.
3. You will have the ability to deliver a high level of performance whilst adopting safe systems of work and without impacting personnel and food safety, product quality and the environment.
4. You will understand and support all elements of site and engineering compliance and support, whilst managing and maintaining all engineering workspaces.
5. You will have a positive approach to change and a can-do attitude. Applicants must be creative, agile and resilient to cater to organizational and market needs.
Capability Requirements (Experience):
You will have training, accreditations, qualifications and experience in multiple engineering disciplines: mechanical, electrical, welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, water, steam, boilers and be experienced and/or time served within FMCG environments. You will be able to work well as part of a team and autonomously. Applicants must be able to communicate, work cross functionally and build relationships with the cross-functional factory shift teams.
