We're Hiring: Deputy CEO – Caithness Chamber of Commerce

We have an exciting opportunity to join Caithness Chamber of Commerce as Deputy CEO, working alongside our CEO to execute strategic plans and deliver real impact for our members and the wider community.
This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of our region, ensuring businesses thrive while enhancing the economic and social vitality of the North Highlands.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead initiatives to promote the North Highlands as a place to live, work, and invest through a holistic destination strategy.
2. Oversee the planning and execution of campaigns that showcase the region’s rich cultural, historical, and natural assets.
3. Support and mentor a talented team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
4. Deliver high-quality contract and project management services.
5. Drive innovation, helping businesses adapt to evolving challenges and seize new opportunities.
6. Represent the Chamber at stakeholder meetings and engage in public speaking to advocate for the region’s economic and business interests.
As part of a small team, the post holder will take a leading role in being the ‘voice of business’ and supporting regional businesses. The position offers a fantastic opportunity to build relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders across the North Highlands and wider region as well as being part of a professional, proactive and forward-thinking business organisation.
This post is a full-time post (35 hours). The Chamber operates a hybrid working model but this is a place-based role with a requirement to regularly work at the offices in Thurso as well as travel around the region for meetings and events and supporting a team who are geographically spread between Caithness and Sutherland.
