Secured Foundation CIC work with a wide range of individuals with different backgrounds such as Ex-Offenders, Care Leavers, Homelessness, Substance Abuse and Mental Illness.

Job Description:
* To provide structured support sessions on an individual basis, assisting with any needs detailed such as coordinating doctors’ appointments, assisting with financial and benefits issues, and providing emotional and psychological support.
* Ensuring that individuals are maximising their benefits, including supporting them to make claims and liaising with the Dept of Work and Pensions and Housing Benefit staff as necessary
* Support residents in understanding their responsibilities to maintain their Secured Foundation CIC placement and prepare for future accommodation.
* To ensure all equipment in each property is in good working order, maintained in a clean and functional state of repair, and all maintenance, health and safety, and repair issues are documented and reported.
* Collaborate with residents to develop comprehensive move-on plans, identifying realistic options for their future housing needs.
* Providing support to ensure that individuals are able to maintain their tenancies, including debt/arrears management, anti-social behaviour resolution, and the issues that can arise from shared living.
* Liaise with different professionals and agencies to ensure the service users are receiving the support they require to achieve the most positive outcome.
* Travel property to property between Hartlepool, Stockton, Middlesbrough, Durham, Redcar and Billingham areas, using your own vehicle.
Key Skills, Experience and Knowledge:
* Ability to work with vulnerable adults with complex needs (such as substance misuse, physical health, mental health, seeking employment and housing support).
* Understanding of safeguarding.
* Understanding and Commitment to the Secured Foundation CIC Values.
* A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with challenging behaviours and a variety of different backgrounds.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
* Ability to develop person centred support and move on planning.
* Must have access to own vehicle, a full UK licence and will be required to complete an enhanced DBS, although being on the DBS update service will be preferred.
* Business insurance must be obtained to claim back mileage
