The Role
An excellent opportunity has become available for a Material Planning Manager who will be responsible for all parts supply for current and past projects since 2003. Responsibilities include:
1. Maintain a supply chain for four sections: launch team, run-out team (historic parts), quality section (overseeing parts quality through lifecycle in aftersales), and material planning team (maintaining parts stock).
2. Ensure analysis of sales patterns for different parts categories such as high turnover parts, moderate turnover parts, and low turnover parts.
3. Manage stock levels, address supply chain issues, and ensure targets are met monthly without overstocking.
4. Negotiate with suppliers, especially when minimum order requirements are involved.
5. Manage a team of four, conduct reviews, and sign off on timesheets.
Skills & Qualifications
1. Experience in managing parts supply and series purchasing.
2. Data analysis and market understanding.
3. Background in manufacturing and material planning.
