We are recruiting a Critical Services Shift Technician to join the team in London.\n \nThe Critical Services Shift Technician will be joining our dynamic team supporting a major refurbishment of our client's EMEA headquarters located in Canary Wharf. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a critical phase in the project, witnessing the commissioning process and contributing to the building's mobilization.\n \nThey will play a vital role in the transformation of this landmark tower, which will become a state-of-the-art workplace designed for the future.
This project emphasizes cutting-edge technology, sustainability, and the highest standards of environmental design, featuring flexible workspaces, collaboration zones, and dedicated wellness areas.\n \nJob Purpose:\n\nShift Technician needs to be a team player who carries out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works to building plant, equipment, and systems in accordance with agreed service levels and responds to site engineering emergencies, undertake small installation works, repairs to building fabric and handyman duties. \n \nResponding speedily to fault/breakdown requests and efficiently undertaking routine scheduled maintenance of plant and/or equipment is of paramount importance. \n \nRole Responsibilities:\n\nEnsure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements\n \nRespond to Building Management System alarms and effect emergency repairs as needed\n \nIssue and ensure appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems\n \nEnsure that Evaporative Cooling Systems and domestic water systems are maintained to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard\n \nEnsure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant\n \nEnsure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept in the form of electronic recording on REALM.\n \nEnsure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments (including Dynamics Risk assessments) are prepared for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices\n \nEnsure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised and comply with contractual commitments and site operating processes\n \nTo develop a good working relationship with all members of CBRE services staff and clients' staff\n \nEnsure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required\n \nEnsure a professional image of CBRE is presented to clients and visitors and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times\n \nEnsure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning\n \nCarry out routine planned preventative maintenance tasks as required within across HV and LV distribution systems, associated plant / equipment and HVAC mechanical cooling / heating systems as determined by the CMMS system's work orders\n \nBuilding walk-rounds, taking meter readings from UPS, PDU's and utilities\n \nInvestigate faults, identify causes and effect remedies\n \nPrepare accurate / timely reports as required\n \nEnsure corrective / repair works are carried out in accordance with current regulations\n \nAssist when and where required with installation works\n \nParticipate in emergency call out roster providing cover for team member absences, as required\n \nDevelop a comprehensive understanding of the portfolio buildings their layouts, functions and complexities\n \nEstablish and develop trusting relationships with Facilities Managers, Client staff and representatives\n \nEndorse day to day and future compliance to safe working practices, quality standards conformity and best practice methods\n \nVolunteer ideas / initiatives that contribute to the service levels and delivery\n \n12 hour rotating shift\n \nAwareness of Change processes and Critical works being undertaken on the premises.\n \nEnsure that correct PPE is being worn and utilised at all times.\n \nCompletion of Risk Assessments as required.Skills\n\nSelf-motivated, with a high level of personal integrity\n \nAble to work well both in a team and alone\n \nOrganised, able to prioritise and deliver within high-pressure environments\n \nCourteous and presentable as the role is both front and back of house, with exposure to the client at all levels\n \nAble to ascend and descend vertical access equipment\n \nStrong PC skills, MS Office\n \nSelf-motivated and resourceful\n \nGood administrative skills\n \nSelf-motivated, with a high level of personal integrity\n \nAble to work well both in a team and alone\n \nOrganised, able to prioritise and deliver within high-pressure environments\n \nCourteous and presentable as the role is both front and back of house, with exposure to the client at all levels\n \nAble to ascend and descend vertical access equipment\n \nStrong PC skills, MS Office\n \nSelf-motivated and resourceful\n \nGood administrative skills\n \nWell organised and good prioritisation and planning skills\n \nKey focus for this role is to ensure that all FM services are delivered in a confident and efficient manner\n \nService orientated attitude combined with innovative thinking\n \nSelf-motivated and professional manner\n \nGood communication skills\n \nBasic knowledge of MS office applications\n \nA level of IT literacy -
