Casual Assessor for L2-5 Health and Social Care
Salary: £20.03 / hour
Department: Community and Professional Services
Employment Type: Zero Hours
Location: Aberystwyth Campus
Compensation: £20.03 / hour
Description: Coleg Ceredigion has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Assessor for L2-5 Health and Social Care, based at our Aberystwyth Campus. This is a casual post with up to 37 hours per week available.
As an Assessor, you will manage a caseload of between 30 to 35 learners across our levels 2 - 5 in Health and Social Care. You will be expected to liaise with employers and learners to plan, monitor, and evaluate learner progress against the relevant framework. In addition, assessors also work very closely with lecturing staff to ensure effective delivery, completion, and achievement of the apprenticeship programme.
What do you need? To be successful, you will need an NVQ Level 3-5 (or higher) in Health and Social Care. Ideally, you will also have relevant industrial experience within health and social care. Whilst an assessor award is desirable, if you do not possess this, you will be required to obtain this within 2 years of the start date.
Aside from qualifications, you will need strong organisational skills and excellent time management as you will normally work off-site meeting employers and learners in the workplace. As a result of the extensive travelling across a rural geographical area, a driving licence would be desirable; however, the need to be able to travel to employers is essential. The College has pool cars available to use, so you will not need to use your own car.
What to do next? If you would like to find out more information, or to arrange an informal conversation, please contact Tom.braddock@colegsirgar.ac.uk. If you would like to apply, please apply via our careers page and attach a copy of your CV. If you are selected for an interview, one of the team will be in touch to arrange a time and date suitable for you.
