Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Job Description
General Responsibilities:
1. Monthly review of outstanding residential sales debtors
2. Writing to clients as necessary and instructing debt collection agency if required
3. Answering incoming calls to general admin unit
4. General office duties
Daily Responsibilities:
1. Opening and distribution of post
2. Filing (bank statements/cheque requisitions/sales invoices etc)
3. Processing of sales invoices
4. Processing of purchase invoices
5. Daily Banking
6. Update cash book and posting of payments/receipts onto ledgers
7. Dealing with suppliers
Monthly Responsibilities:
1. Monitor debtors
2. Reconcile supplier statements and chase missing invoices
3. Purchase Ledger BACS run
4. Bank reconciliations
Personal Qualities:
1. Must have strong administration background
2. Must have attention to detail and high level of accuracy
3. Must show enthusiasm and self motivation
4. Must be computer literate
5. Must be able to prioritise own workload
6. To project a friendly cooperative and productive relationship with all personnel and clients
Skills / Qualifications:
Essential:
1. GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
2. Minimum 1 year experience working in a finance based role
3. Experience of Excel, Word and Sage Line 50
Desirable:
1. Undertaking or completed Accounts Assistant qualification
