Job Description
My client is a well-established, privately owned specialist Civil Engineering contractor that has undergone a successful growth period and has become a leading player in the market. To continue this growth, they are looking to appoint a Contracts Manager to become a key part of their delivery team.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
* Set the highest possible leadership standards in promoting HSEQ procedures and best practices.
* Prepare and update detailed work programmes and communicate them with the site teams and head office to ensure they can be delivered promptly.
* Ensure that weekly reviews of safety, progress, budgets, and planning are completed with the site teams.
* Liaise with Directors, Safety Advisors, Quantity Surveyors and Engineers to ensure clear communication and achievement of project deliverables.
* Identify and fulfil resource requirements, focus on business priorities, and stay within budget.
* Identify procurement and material requirements, ensuring they are procured per company policies and procedures.
* Provide clear communication, direct management support and reviews to teams under management.
* Chair and attend internal and external pre-start, construction, commercial, engineering and HSEQT meetings as required.
* Build positive relationships with clients delivery, management and leadership teams.
