What you’ll do
This role will lead and take ownership of Vodafone Business Security Enhanced customer projects, adhering to programme delivery methodology, in such a way that each underlying project or workstream is accomplished to the complete satisfaction of the customer, on schedule, quality assured and within budget.
You will ensure that Customer projects/programme workstreams are planned, coordinated and communicated in a professional manner, keeping Customer stakeholders regularly informed of progress, and ensuring that all stakeholder expectations are managed and that Customer commitments are consistently met.
Typical contract value(s) £10m+ with the responsibility of managing large virtual teams and reporting to C level executives. Experience of delivering a range of portfolio solutions and non standard solutions.
1. Act as advisor to the Bid Team on all Project elements as required and agreed for proposal submission; delivering the needed governance documentation (High Level Plan, Project Definition Document-PDD) and provide guidance to Solution Architect regarding creation Statement of Work.
2. Prepare and deliver Project Plan (outlining the activities, tasks, dependencies and timeframes) as to be jointly baselined with the Customer and placed under change control.
3. Lead the virtual project team (as the overall primary point of contact and escalation point), coordinate all project delivery activities and ensure that all key milestones are met.
4. Execute the project governance and chair both operational and strategic project review boards.
5. Proactively provide the project customer and internal stakeholders with frequent programme progress reports, highlighting Risks, Actions, Issues, Dependencies and Changes.
6. Effectively manage project budget and revenue plan.
7. Ensure that a clean hand-over to the Customer & Service Management team at the close of each project is facilitated.
8. Carry out thorough Customer facing Lessons Learned session and distribute output report within Delivery team.
Who you are
1. Extensive Project Management skills and experience required.
2. Exposure to commercial management contractual negotiation experience.
3. Experience of delivering mobility, LAN, WAN, IPT, Security and managed solutions desired.
4. Build strong relationships with customers, delivery partners and external vendors.
5. Ability to manage from a distance, including resources who work for other organisations.
6. Strong written and oral communications skills (including C-level communication) required.
7. Exceptional interpersonal, organisational and communication skills, integrity, respect for confidentiality, sound judgment and decision making skills.
8. Ability to lead and motivate project teams to successfully deliver the project within agreed time scales, assigned budget and to high quality standards.
9. PRINCE2 Practitioner or PMI-PMP qualification.
