Position: Maintenance Shift Engineer\nLocation: Watford, Hertfordshire \nSalary: £41,340 + £5,000 Shift Allowance\n\nTXM Recruit is partnering with a prominent automation and intralogistics company to hire skilled Maintenance Technicians for their flagship site in Watford, Hertfordshire. These roles involve maintaining and optimizing state-of-the-art machinery to ensure seamless operations at the distribution facility.\nShift Pattern:\n\nShift:42 Hours a week, \nDays, Afternoon and NightsKey Responsibilities:\n\nPerform mechanical disassembly and reassembly tasks, basic field wiring, equipment calibration, and system testing.\nEfficiently manage time using CMMS, aiming for over 90% utilization.\nComplete reactive repairs within set timeframes to minimize downtime.\nConduct servicing and repairs of installed products, taking hands-on ownership of issues to achieve swift resolutions.\nInterpret electrical schematics and work confidently with 415V motor controls.\nPrioritize health and safety by conducting thorough risk assessments.\nDemonstrate strong mechanical skills, including the ability to read and follow assembly drawings.\nFollow setup instructions, assembly guides, and checklists with precision.\nDisplay exceptional attention to detail and follow-up capabilities.\nUnderstand and work with control systems.\nCommunicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels within the organization and customer environments.Skills and Qualifications Required:\n\nQualification at NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or a related field.\nFamiliarity with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and technologies.\nKnowledge of PLC systems and their functionality.\nExperience with pneumatics and hydraulics is an advantage.\nProficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications.\nExperience using CMMS systems and managing engineering inventory.\nA qualification equivalent to HNC/HND is preferred but not essential.Desirable Attributes:\n\nMechanical aptitude, including the ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment using technical diagrams.\nFamiliarity with 415V motor controls and understanding of PLC systems.\nAwareness of health and safety standards, including conducting risk assessments.\nCustomer-oriented approach with effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.\nWillingness to learn, adapt, and participate in training programs, including potential travel within Europe.Benefits:\n\nEmployer pension contributions of up to 6%.\nComprehensive private healthcare coverage, including optical, dental, and hearing benefits.\nLife insurance for added financial security.\nHealth care cashback scheme, covering private medical excess costs.\nAccess to a benefits portal offering lifestyle discounts and training resources.\nEmployee assistance program for personal and professional support.\nRide-to-Work scheme to promote sustainable commuting.\nReferral program with rewards for recommending new hires.\nEmployee of the Quarter awards to recognize outstanding contributions.TXM Recruit is an equal opportunities employer.
