About The Role:
We are seeking to appoint a Business Operations Officer to support the online learning planning process and quality assurance and improvement in the Distance Learning Services (DLS) team. This role involves gathering and maintaining updated and accurate data for planning and quality matters from a variety of sources, ensuring accuracy.
The post holder will work closely with departments across the Distance Learning Services to ensure the accuracy of source data, resolve inconsistencies, and support the Business Support Manager in data gathering, interrogation, report production, and responding to queries from other areas of the organisation.
The candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, all of which are vital in this role. The work will suit someone who is comfortable with extensive use of computer databases, business information tools, and spreadsheets. The successful candidate will be solutions-focused to consistently improve processes for gathering data and will need to demonstrate excellent organization skills and a high level of IT literacy, including confidence in using IT systems, ideally in further or higher education.
The candidate will have a degree, or be part qualified in a relevant professional qualification at degree level with specific focus on data and analysis, including but not limited to computer or social sciences or mathematics, or demonstrated appropriate level of experience and evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the role.
