Do you want to be part of a school community on a journey from good to outstanding?
Do you want to make a difference to outcomes for all students?
The post is initially offered on a fixed term contract with the possibility of being extended in the future. The successful candidate will provide support for our wonderful Resource Base students who as oral communicators access all the mainstream classes. You will provide support in these classes and be responsible for modifying the curriculum in all subject areas to support learning; training and guidance will be provided by the Teacher of the Deaf.
Good levels of numeracy and literacy are required (GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths).
Previous school experience and specialist qualifications are preferred but not essential, as it is more important for the successful candidate to show empathy, resilience, initiative, dedication to our students, and a good sense of humour.
Signing is not required for this post, but is desirable, support will be given to acquire further BSL skills for interested candidates.
