As the Assistant Electrical Manager you will be leading a team of Electrical Supervisors who have direct line responsibility for our Electricians. Our electrical team work throughout our communities in both occupied and void properties. Working as a leader within the Mechanical and Electrical team you will hold business portfolio, which will include – The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role. Planned and cyclical maintenance works, using direct labour teams and contractors Delivery of responsive repairs allocating resource comparative to demand Electrical Safety and compliance Health and Safety work such as fire safety programmes Work to home owners, leaseholders and market rent customers The role will require technical and commercial expertise, a strong understanding of health & safety legislation and construction legislation, housing law and compliance. About You You will have a relevant professional qualification. You will be experienced in planning, delivering and monitoring electrical work. You’ll come with a proven track record of leading a large team, thinking strategically to best utilise all the resources you have available to you. You will be able to build strong working relationships and will have a clear and concise communication style, being able to adapt your message for the audience. Having ideally worked in a similar role you will understand key business issues and will have a strong interest in future developments. Our operating region covers Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall and some coverage in neighbouring counties. Your wider team will be based throughout the region and there will be the need to travel to meet with the team from time to time.You will therefore need to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
