We currently have an opportunity for an experienced People Performance Lead to join our Team basedin Exeter / Bristol, with travel to our sites across Devon,Cornwall,Bournemouth, Bristol and Surrey.You will receive a competitive salary of £60,000 - £70,000 per annum plus company car or cash for car allowance plus excellent benefits.The People Performance Lead is responsible for the design, development and implementation of talent processes and programs aligned to the Pennon People Plan and Business Unit strategy. They will provide specialised knowledge of Organisational and People Development and collaborate with business leaders on practical approaches to Performance Management, Succession and Planning and Change Management. As a trusted advisor, they possess consultative skills and advocate for opportunities to integrate, coordinate and simplify to better meet the needs of the business.
What you'll do:
1. Based on the development needs of the leadership population, design, (on occasion deliver) and evaluate a range of programmes and one to one intervention to develop and enhance the capability of the leaders
2. Work alongside the business area and centre of excellence to develop learning interventions to support soft skill, knowledge and technical training needs creating an organisation where expertise and capability is valued and shared collaboratively
3. Collaborate with other Business Unit Performance and Capability Leads and the Centre of Excellence teams to align talent development policies with local needs and strategies linking with Early Careers (Apprentices and Graduates)
4. Align the Talent Strategy with longer-term strategic capability needs
5. Create a performance and development infrastructure that aligns to the company and People strategies and supports organisational, team and individual high performance
6. Support the Head of People & MDs in developing foundational talent plan of the Business Unit and work with all teams to identify key succession roles
7. Utilise data analytics to track and measure the effectiveness of talent strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
8. Participate to create internal mobility programs to facilitate career growth and development within the organisation.
9. Develop and implement policies and processes to support internal transfers and cross-functional moves
10. Monitor and report on internal mobility metrics to ensure program effectiveness and continuous improvement
11. Work with Head of People & MDs to implement company wide programmes and tools that will embed the culture, values and behaviours
12. Act as deputy to the Head of People, representing them in meetings with key stakeholders.

24. Ability to develop pragmatic business-minded solutions with a continuous improvement mindset
25. Strong project management, budgeting and management skills
26. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardisation exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

27. Excellent understanding of Organisation Development best practice
28. Experienced in design, delivery, and evaluation of development interventions
29. Specialist expertise and understanding of theory and practice in the following areas: leadership development, talent management & succession planning, employee engagement, performance management, organisational culture
30. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude to build and develop relationships
31. Ability to work effectively in a national, matrixed organisation
32. Proficiency in data analytics and HR technology platforms
33. Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
