Your responsibilities will include:
1. Design and develop world leading optical and photonic components, modules and sub-systems using appropriate design tools and software.
2. Lead part of the team, responsible for objective setting and annual appraisals.
3. Contribute to cohesive product development strategy which provides the site with the market offering to meet business growth objectives.
4. Work within a multidisciplinary team including mechanical and electronic design engineers as well as Product engineers and technicians.
5. Active involvement in prototype build – including fibre-optic splicing, mechanical / electrical assembly and opto-electronic test.
6. Develop and execute test plans for functional and environmental verification of components and systems.
7. Support design modification and engineering changes to existing products.
8. Present results clearly and concisely for both internal and external customers.
