Job summary We are looking for an experienced RGN/RMN to work in our nursing home. WE DO NOT TAKE AGENCY REFERRALS AND NO SPONSORSHIP IS OFFERED FOR THIS POSITION We are looking for 2-3 dedicated registered general or Mental health nurse to work one shift of 12.25 hours per week or 1-2 to work more hours (there is the possibility of picking up extra hours during peak holiday times should you wish). You will ideally have some experience of working with people with mental health needs, however this is not a necessary requirement. Main duties of the job Your main duties will be: To take responsibility for, and effectively supervise the day to day running of your shift and to ensure that the care is of a high standard at all times and to bring any issues you may have to the attention of the nursing home manager. To be aware of each service user's needs. To be the named nurse for a small number of service users and to take responsibility for updating their care plans and leasing with their key worker to ensure all needs are being met. To lead a team of Health Care Assistants in carrying out their roles, with the help of senior carers during the shift. To carry out medication rounds. Desirable Basic IT skills are required for this job, as we now use electronic care planning and medication systems. Training will be given in our systems.
