You'll play a key role in supporting students to develop positive coping strategies, improve their mental health, and build essential life skills. Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant/psychology and Criminology graduate Salary: £460 - £500 Sector: Education and Training Location: Bedford Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and group support to children and young adults with SEMH needs. Implement tailored interventions to support emotional regulation and behaviour management. Work closely with educational staff and support teams to create a safe, nurturing environment. Use psychological and criminological insights to inform your approach to individual and group challenges. Monitor and assess students' progress, documenting key developments. Build trusting relationships with students to empower them to reach their full potential. What We're Looking For: A Psychology and/or Criminology degree (or similar field). A passion for working with children and young adults, particularly those with SEMH needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Compassion, resilience, and a positive approach to working with vulnerable individuals.
