Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Ringwood, Dorset
Hourly Rate: £11.72 - £12.78 ...
Annual Salary: £20,941.30 - £22,835.30 (Term-Time Only)
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, term-time only
About the Role:
You'll be supporting students aged 11-16 with special educational needs, including Autism. Working closely with our expert teaching staff, you'll assist in the classroom and participate in outdoor activities like Bushcraft and life skills, playing a key role in the academic and personal development of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide personalized support, ensuring students' safety and well-being.
2. Help students achieve goals outlined in their Education and Healthcare Plans (EHCPs).
3. Implement positive behaviour management techniques tailored to individual needs.
4. Maintain detailed records of incidents, accidents, and health and safety matters.
5. Encourage teamwork and foster positive social interactions among students.

7. Show patience and skill in managing challenging behaviours.

10. Possess basic numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills.
11. GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent) are preferred but not essential.
