The Datacentre Infrastructure Management Technical Specialist role resides in the Infrastructure Operations Services Team, providing Datacentre technical support for Kingfisher’s key Datacentre sites. The role will involve providing technical support for the Datacentre electrical and mechanical infrastructure and support of IT infrastructure installations to meet customer/business projects. To work MON-FRI and cover 24 x 7 callout. Monitor and maintain Datacentre Management Toolset. Perform New Installations/Moves and Decommission of legacy IT equipment. Local Area Network and Storage Area Network Cabling. Maintain, control and track Datacentre asset and configuration data. Monitor and maintain Datacentre electrical and mechanical infrastructure with third party suppliers to ensure preventative and reactive maintenance is regularly performed through change management. Fix production issues in accordance with agreed incident SLA’s. Work with other Kingfisher colleagues to deliver business projects. Actively engage in service review meetings with third party suppliers supporting the Datacentre. Good verbal and written communication skills Be Customer focused. Self- motivated with the ability to work under pressure. Ability to work as part of a small team of three. Good organisational skills, attention to detail and good time management skills Reliable and conscientious Excellent GCSE grades, emphasis on IT, English and Maths Relevant experience working in a datacentre support role or operations environment. Knowledge of Sunbird and Raritan datacentre software/hardware products. Practical hands-on experience with Datacentre equipment installations Copper and fibre cabling infrastructure experience Clean driving licence essential as there is travel to other Kingfisher sites.
