Prepworld have an exciting new opportunity for an Engineering Shift Manager The Engineering Shift Manager will, in summary, ensure the equipment do not pose health and safety risk to personnel, and the safety, legality, and quality of food are not compromised due to equipment design, location, maintenance, and storage practices. Is responsible for the maintenance staff on shift. Main Duties: To create a vision and a sense of purpose for your team Focus on delivery, enabling long-term success. Inspire others through your integrity and professionalism. Have the credibility and authority to lead your team and provide inspiration for them Oversee the performance of the shift team to ensure that all planned and preventative maintenance also including maintenance requests are completed in a timely and effective manner Completion and distribution of job sheets to the members of the team. Inspection and sign - off completed planned maintenance and repairs Repairs to all breakdown within the factory as priority Coaching of maintenance staff on repairs on breakdowns and of planned maintenance Ensure maintenance schedule for all machinery and equipment are up to date Ensure food grade/food safe materials are used in construction and maintenance of equipment, this also include the use of food safe lubricants Conduct daily inspection of site machinery and equipment; any damage or missing parts is reported to Engineering manager and repaired/replaced the soonest possible time Ensure equipment hand back procedure is adhered to following any repairs or maintenance work. Conduct inspection on completed tasks by the team and sign off. Record keeping of all repairs and maintenance work. Attend to daily Production meetings, highlight general issues in the factory and possible solution Responsible for controlling, monitoring and assessing engineering parts and stock; report to your line manager of any parts that are likely to run out.
