The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of haematology and blood transfusion testing, supporting patient care and clinical decision-making. What will your responsibilities be : As a Band 6 Locum Haematology/Blood Transfusion Biomedical Scientist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic tests and procedures within the haematology and blood transfusion departments. Your duties will include analysing blood samples, interpreting test results, and maintaining accurate records. You will also be expected to adhere to quality control protocols, participate in the validation of new techniques, and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations. Additionally, you will provide support and guidance to junior staff and contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory services. Qualifications and Experiences: HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent Significant experience in haematology and blood transfusion Proficiency in using laboratory information management systems (LIMS) Strong understanding of quality control and assurance processes Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Effective communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to continuous professional development Why work with Pulse?
