Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for ensuring that the patient level costing system is maintained and developed to provide high quality costing and service line reporting information to support business decisions; and responsibility for the National Cost Collection submissions.

Information and Communication Technology
Essential criteria
* Very Highly IT literate with detailed understanding of patient level costing systems, Transact-SQL, technical spreadsheet skills (VBA) and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI).
* Responsible for developing the Trust's patient level information costing system and reporting in line with national guidelines.
* Ability to design and implement more generic data collection systems.
Experience / Qualifications
Essential criteria
* Masters degree or equivalent experience in Information Management, Financial Management or related discipline.
* European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) advanced level or equivalent experience.
Desirable criteria
* Completion of CCAB recognised accountancy qualification.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
* Specialist theoretical and practical knowledge and experience of patient level costing systems and processes, service line reporting and national cost collections.
* Experience of presenting highly complex financial information in an accessible way for both finance and non-finance colleagues.
* Experience of leading, managing and developing teams.
* Experience in the preparation of accurate and professional reports to prescribed deadlines.
* Experience in the development of training programmes and of training non-finance staff in the use of activity and costing information.
* Experience of providing professional leadership to Finance staff.
