Due to ongoing expansion, my client is currently looking to recruit a Commercial Property Solicitor for their expanding St. Albans, Hertfordshire office.

The Role
Reporting to the Supervising Partner, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a solid background in commercial property. This will include acquisitions and disposals, creating and renewing business leases on behalf of both landlords and tenants, lease extensions, right to buy, right to acquire and experience in both agricultural land and development would be useful.
Candidate Specification
1. A minimum of 3 years PQE in commercial property
2. Good client care skills, provide professional and competent legal advice in accordance with SRA Code of conduct
3. Strong IT skills
4. Effective business development skills with proven marketing strategies
5. Capability to generate fees in accordance with agreed targets
6. Up-to-date knowledge and skills in compliance with Continuing Professional Development and internal training expectations
7. Proven experience of handling own caseload
8. Ability to adhere to and manage deadlines
9. Good drafting and writing skills, excellent communication and technical ability
Key Responsibilities
1. Work on a wide range of commercial property matters
2. Prepare and review documents related to the above-mentioned documentation and other general commercial property transactions.
3. Demonstrate a meticulous approach with great attention to detail.
4. Provide assistance to senior team members with high-value transactions.
5. Prepare for completion meetings; handle post-completion filings and prepare completion bibles.
6. Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, often to tight deadlines and be able to prioritise tasks effectively.
7. Build strong relationships with colleagues, clients and other departments within the firm.
