A welcoming primary school in Smethwick is looking for a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small group support to children with ASD, ADHD, and other additional needs in their Early Years setting. The Role Working in Nursery and Reception, you will play a key role in helping children with SEN access learning in a supportive and engaging environment. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies that help children develop their communication, social, and motor skills. Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support to children in the Early Years Use sensory play and structured learning activities to aid development Support children with speech and language difficulties using visual aids Implement EHCP targets and track progress Encourage social interaction and independence through play-based learningWho We're Looking For Experience supporting SEN children in an Early Years setting A Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable Understanding of child development and early learning strategies A patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approachWhy Work with Long Term Futures?
