As one of our current Destination Executives is stepping up to cover a period of maternity leave, we’re now recruiting for a Destination Executive to join us in Kingston on secondment for 12 months.
In this role you’ll help drive our brand’s success by supporting the management of our product portfolio, ensuring relevant market leading product is available for sale.
You’ll ensure our in-house Purchasing teams are providing a constant supply of market leading offers and that these are pushed through all relevant marketing channels. You’ll support the achievement of commercial targets including destination revenue growth, conversion, overrides and partnership funding.
This role is a fixed term role for 12 months, based in Kingston-upon-Thames on a hybrid basis, working 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely.
Job Accountabilities
* Support the Destination Manager in owning destinations and maximising growth including trading performance
* Respond to queries from the Sales Team
* Understand the market, current trends and how Travelbag fits within the market
* Build and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers and internal stakeholders. Support the relationship between Travelbag and our suppliers.
* Manage the trading calendar for your region.
* Ensure market leading offers are in place for key destinations & suppliers and work with the pricing team to ensure appropriate pricing is in place
* Support in the constant review of available product
* Support in product/destination training including the planning and arranging of Fam trips
* Sign off promotional activity in the absence of the Destination Manager
* Help secure partnership marketing funding from key suppliers
* Work with the SEO, PPC and marketing teams to ensure appropriate share of voice for your region
* Ensure all product displays the correct joining instructions
* Support the organisation of consumer events and represent the product team when required
* Take control of mapping, writing web content, merchandising and sales barriers.
To be considered for this role, we need you to have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
* A passion for travel
* Some experience within a tour operator or OTA in a similar role - desirable
* Excellent communication & relationship building skills
* A high level of attention to detail and copy accuracy
* Able to manage your own time and prioritise where necessary in a fast-changing environment
* Relevant destination and travel market knowledge
* An understanding of both online and offline marketing and how these impact trading in a consumer environment
* Good analytical and numeracy skills
* Strong level of IT competence e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
* An understanding and experience of Travelbag’s internal systems would be an advantage but not essential
This role is at our office based in Kingston-upon-Thames, just 5 minutes’ walk from Norbiton Station or 10-15 minutes from Kingston station offering good transport links from the Greater London area.
