The Opportunity: Their Manchester office is seeking a Principal Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will manage projects, drive forward civil infrastructure-focused commercial and residential developments, and contribute to the company’s ongoing growth and success. This multidisciplinary business unit includes civil and highway engineers, structural engineers, architects, project managers, and surveyors. Key market sectors include: Industrial development and logistics Airports and infrastructure development Regeneration projects Government agency and local authority projects Your Key Responsibilities As Principal Civil Engineer, you will: Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring project delivery within budget, timeframe, and quality standards. Provide expertise in highways, drainage, and infrastructure design for multi-disciplinary developments. Take ownership of business development activities to grow the unit, with a focus on the property sector. What We’re Looking For To thrive in this role, you will have: Significant experience in UK development-related infrastructure engineering, ideally from a consultancy or private-sector background. A degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and Chartered Civil Engineer status (or near completion of Chartered status - MICE). Strong technical knowledge in the design of highways, access roads, drainage, road geometry, earthworks, pavements, and underground services. Why Join?
