A sterile services technician is a healthcare professional who is responsible for cleaning, decontaminating, and sterilising medical equipment. You will be a vital member of the team, working to support our Central Sterile Services Department Manager, Jim, in the provision of a safe and effective decontamination and sterile supplies service to all departments within the hospital. This will include ensuring that every medical device is prepared fit for the purpose prior to patient use and undertaking tasks involved with the decontamination process, i.e., cleaning, checking, packing, assembling, sterilising, and distribution of medical devices. This role will be working on the Bank which is a zero-hour contract. Shifts will be given as and when needed. The role requires applicants to preferably have Hepatitis B and TB vaccinations; however, Practice Plus Group will put successful applicants through a course if there is no evidence of immunisation. We are happy to set up an informal visit to the Sterile Service department so you can get a feel for what the role entails and meet the team. Please email to book a time slot with Jim.

* Comfortable working within a team environment.
* Good standard of written and spoken English.
