As Service Technician, NOV Downhole your primary job role is to service all Tools to the highest level of service quality in accordance with all NOV Service Manual work instructions, standard service, and Quality Management System procedures. All work tasks must be undertaken and equipment operated adhering to all Job Safety Analysis and related Risk Assessments. The Service Technician role has a broad range of tasks involved with individuals taking responsibility for understanding and conforming to PPE, Quality and HSE Policies.
The job role is primary to service the Downhole range of Drilling, Fishing, and ICT Tools but additional general workshop duties are required to assist the operation. Service personnel also have direct responsibility for workshop housekeeping and should be proactive in maintaining a clean and organised workplace.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Adhere to all Downhole HSEQ Policies and procedures and ensure PPE guidelines are followed.
* Extensive safe and efficient use of all workshop Service and lifting equipment following all applicable risk assessments and JSA’s.
* Assembly, disassembly, and testing of Tools in accordance with Service Manual and Standard Service Procedure requirements ensuring the highest level of service quality.
* Competent use of measuring equipment and knowledge of wear limit specifications to ensure accurate dimensional measurements of components.
* Review of NDT Inspection Reports to verify component conditions and accurate data entry and completion of EDS Service documentation.
* Responsible for maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and participating in preventive maintenance system to ensure workshop equipment checks are completed and non-conforming issues reported.
* Participate in 5S implementation and maintenance within the facility and ensure 5S principles are followed and adhered to.
* Identify potential internal ITrax issues during incoming function testing tool disassembles, highlight findings to workshop Supervisors, and assist DSE/Reliability personnel with tool investigations.
* Assist with general workshop duties when required including cleaning/preparing tools, painting of tools to prepare for dispatch, general goods in-out assisting with loading/unloading of truck, and any other ad-hoc duties.
* Participate in product and HSE training as required and have an active role in the D&I Competency System completing HSE and Product Units.
* Participate in Downhole Observation Reporting System to identify potential hazards within the workplace.
* Interact with all workshop/warehouse personnel to ensure a safe and efficient workplace. Proactive involvement in the HSEQ System to participate in Workshop Inspections, Risk Assessment Reviews, HSEQ meetings etc.
* Participate in on-call rota as required.
* Scope for UK and overseas work at NOV and customer locations.
