BMS Controls Engineer\n\nPermanent \n\n£65,000 - £70,000\n\nLondon\n\nKey Tasks\n\nMaintenance & Repairs: Execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and address reactive repairs on the Building Management System (BMS). \nSystem Monitoring: Continuously monitor BMS operations and alarms to ensure optimal performance. \nTechnical Liaison: Act as the primary technical contact for clients and site staff, ensuring all tasks meet client expectations and comply with legislative standards. \nEnvironmental Control: Ensure building environmental controls meet specified requirements and tolerances. \nDiagnostics & Optimization: Perform system checks and diagnostics to confirm systems are operating efficiently. \nChange Management: Implement and manage change control processes for documentation, software, and hardware. \nCommunication: Develop effective methods for communicating system changes to clients and internal teams. \nAlarm Protocols: Review and enhance alarm management protocols to improve system responsiveness. \nEmergency Coordination: Collaborate with site and client management during emergency operations or procedures. \nEquipment Oversight: Inspect, test, maintain, modify, and troubleshoot equipment and services. \nFault Investigation: Investigate, diagnose, and rectify faults in mechanical and electrical distribution systems. \nPlant Operations: Authorize and perform start-up, operation, and shutdown procedures for service plant and equipment. \nCompliance: Consult with Engineering Leaders on operational, regulatory, and statutory compliance matters. \nAudits: Conduct technical and quality audits to ensure assets and operations comply with standards. \nSystem Enhancements: Identify and implement system enhancements to improve resilience and performance. \nMeetings: Participate in operational and technical meetings as required. \nData Analysis: Maintain, review, and report analytical data from the site's Fault Detection Diagnostic system. \nSmart Systems Maintenance: Maintain the building's smart systems and IoT devices, including MQTT and API integrations.We are looking for someone with:\n\nIndustry Experience: Proven experience in BMS engineering roles, demonstrating a strong foundation in building automation systems. \n\nBMS Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of Building Management Systems, with hands-on experience in Tridium Niagara and EasyIO platforms. \nCommunication Protocols: Familiar with standard BMS communication protocols, including BACnet and Modbus. \nBuilding Services Acumen: Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical building services, ensuring effective integration with BMS. \nIT Networking Fundamentals: Basic knowledge of IT networking principles, supporting the integration and maintenance of BMS infrastructure. \nCommunication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, facilitating clear interaction with clients and team members. \nTeam Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.LON123
