Are you a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
If so, GSL Education are looking for a motivated and passionate SEMH Primary TA to join a welcoming and supportive school in Barrow Hill. This is a long-term, full-time position starting immediately, offering a competitive daily rate of £86-£100. Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold a full UK driving license.
Responsibilities of the SEMH Primary Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA):
* Support primary-aged students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
* Assist in delivering tailored learning and behaviour management strategies.
* Build strong relationships with students, offering emotional and academic support.
* Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Encourage students' personal development, social skills, and emotional resilience.
Requirements of the SEMH Primary Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA):
* Previous experience working with SEMH, or SEN students is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with students.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to classroom challenges.
* A full UK driving license is essential.
* Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
