To complete day-to-day works to a very high standard and in line with the relevant Contract. To work within safety regulations, work policies and standards. To provide high levels of customer service to our clients and their residents.
Main duties and responsibilities:
As a fire engineer, you will report to the Supervisor / Contract Manager, and you are the first point of contact between the business and our client. You must have good written and oral communication skills and a high level of technical knowledge across the fire industry, acting as an ambassador to position the company's reputation as a leading and respected employer.
The main duties of a Fire Engineer include:
1. Fire alarm servicing and maintenance, reactive repair, and installation work.
2. Diagnosing and rectifying faults.
3. Carrying out company works as required and to desired standards.
4. Providing the highest level of customer care and always promoting a good external perception of the company.
5. Complying with company procedures and policies to ensure smooth delivery of our service.
6. Producing reports on time and to agreed standards.
7. Adhering to the company's quality management system and recycling correctly and responsibly.
Experience:
1. Experience in fire alarm maintenance, installations, and repairs, preferably within the public sector.
2. FIA qualification is preferable but not essential.
3. A sound knowledge of tools, equipment & materials.
4. Current Trade Qualifications.
5. Good communication skills, both verbal & written.
6. IT literate.
7. A commitment to great customer service.
Salary and benefits:
1. Competitive salary relative to experience (PAYE).
2. 23 days holiday per year, with the option to secure 1 extra day holiday per full year of service up to a cap of 25 days. You can sell 3 days back to the company per year or take 3 days into the next holiday year, plus statutory bank holidays (currently 8).
3. Should either or both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve fall on a weekday, you will not be required to work past midday, but will be paid a full day.
