As a Sessional Tutor for Business related disciplines your role would involve: Preparing and delivering modules in Business related disciplines to international students studying on programmes offered by the College. Assisting with the development of module. Preparing module examinations and other forms of formative and summative assessment, including re-sit examinations, marking and providing feedback to students. Participating in standardisation and moderation processes, including double marking. Assisting with the development and maintenance of the College’s virtual learning environment (VLE), and facilitating student access to same. Providing input for related modules to the annual review and reporting process. Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date record of student attendance and performance. What you’ll bring to the role A minimum of a Bachelor degree in a related subject area, and preferably a Master’s degree or higher (or equivalent qualification). Previous teaching experience in one of the relevant areas of expertise or a related area within a UK higher education context. Ability to develop and update teaching material and preferably experience of working within a Virtual Learning Environment. Competent IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, etc). Strong record-keeping skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Flexibility and willingness to work under pressure to deadlines. Enthusiasm and motivation to be a performance-driven team player.
