Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within our assisted living facility. Responsibilities
1. Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the care facility, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
2. Provide leadership and support to staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
3. Manage resident care plans, ensuring that all aspects of medication administration and personal care are carried out effectively.
4. Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and implement appropriate care strategies.
5. Liaise with families and external healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for residents.
6. Monitor staff performance and provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills.
7. Ensure that the facility maintains a high standard of cleanliness and safety at all times.
8. Participate in recruitment processes, assisting in the selection of qualified staff members.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in an assisted living or nursing home setting is essential.
2. A valid nursing qualification or equivalent experience in health and social care is preferred.
3. Strong understanding of dementia care principles and practices.
4. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
5. Proficient in medication administration protocols and regulatory requirements.
6. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to resident interaction.
7. Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including families, staff, and healthcare professionals.
