Job Description
Sustainability is integral to Heathrow's strategic plan. The comprehensive sustainability strategy - Connecting People and Planet - outlines the priorities for addressing significant issues relevant to the business.
The Sustainability Manager will ensure the timely collection and reporting of sustainability data and information, and will improve controls over time. They will be responsible for providing sustainability data for reporting and ESG disclosures. In addition to data management, they will maintain a repository of content and case studies to illustrate Heathrow's sustainability progress. They will also find ways to share these resources with colleagues.
They will support the Sustainability Strategy team by managing the team workplan and handling ad-hoc projects as needed.
Responsibilities
* Collecting data for sustainability reporting and ESG disclosure.
* Integrating sustainability data into the quality management system and review methodologies regularly.
* Supporting sustainability report production.
* Providing information for ESG ratings, indices, and benchmarks.
* Producing a monthly sustainability progress dashboard.
* Updating the sustainability reporting calendar.
* Maintaining content and case studies for sustainability goals.
* Supporting strategic roadmaps for Heathrow's sustainability targets.
* Maintaining sustainability resources for colleagues.
* Keeping Heathrow's intranet sustainability section updated.
* Producing a regular sustainability newsletter.
* Monitoring and sharing insights on sustainability trends.
* Coordinating ad hoc cross-functional sustainability projects.
* Managing the sustainability strategy team workplan and identifying collaboration opportunities.
Qualifications
* Self-driven, adaptable to fast-paced environments.
* Confident networker with a track record of building strong team relationships.
* Experience in sustainability reporting or data preferred.
* Understanding of Airport/Heathrow's strategy and aviation sustainability issues.
* Effective communicator, both written and verbal, with timely information sharing.
* Consistent in creating prioritized plans and collaborating for delivery.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Working Location
Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
