Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Talking Therapies Waltham Forest Improving Access to Psychological Service for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join the management team.
Aim of the role:
The post holder will be expected to support their team, department and organisation to achieve the Trust’s Values in their day to day work. These are the 5Ps:

The successful applicant would be required to stay in the role for a minimum of 6 months.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will achieve this by:
1. Offering evidence-based practice in facilitated self-help, individually by phone and face-to-face and in groups.
2. Developing, supporting and training innovative practice to trainee IAPT psychological well-being practitioners (PWPs) and other qualified workers.
3. Managing cases and providing clinical supervision.
4. Working with people from different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary.
5. Line managing trainee low intensity workers and IAPT PWPs.
The post holder will hold an accredited Post Graduate Certificate, Diploma or accredited Top Up Certificate in Low Intensity CBT based interventions.

* IAPT Low intensity worker/ psychological well-being practitioner qualification
* IAPT Certificate in PWP Case Management Supervision Skills

* Experience of and ability to provide mentor/supervisor role
Skills and competencies
* Models of assessment, screening, referral, record-keeping and evidence-based brief psychological intervention
* An understanding of the context of IAPT stepped care
