Location - St Albans, VT
3rd shift: 10:00 pm - 6:30 am (Sun - Thurs)
Base Pay rate: $27.21 - $31.15 with an additional $1.50 shift differential

Who You Are & What You’ll Do:
As a Maintenance Technician at our industrial facility, you will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and repairing facilities, utilities, and manufacturing equipment to ensure their safe and reliable operation.
* Support PM Pillar activities and UMS-identified projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency of our manufacturing lines.
* Collaborate with the PM coordinator, identifying and executing projects to improve line efficiencies using the UMS model.
* Participate in programs that support overall factory requirements.
* Plan, perform, and/or oversee preventive maintenance on facilities, utilities, and manufacturing equipment.
* Plan and perform routine system evaluations of mechanical equipment, identifying performance trends or issues and recommending courses of action.
* Resolve equipment malfunctions by evaluating performance breakdowns, identifying the root cause, and taking corrective action within the UMS methodology.
* Design and fabricate changes to equipment to enhance process performance.
* Interpret and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations on projects.
* Participate on evaluation teams comprised of R&D personnel, contractors, and vendors to introduce new processes and/or equipment.
* Draft procedures and manuals for preventive maintenance of process systems and equipment.
* Ensure compliance with GMPs and safety policies while planning and completing projects.
* Develop and conduct training modules. Ensure that required safety practices are being followed at all times by contractors performing work.
* Work in partnership with the UMS team and PM coordinator to deliver improvements to line efficiency. Continue upskilling maintenance technicians in the UMS methodology and support the.
In addition, there will be exposure to allergens, including but not limited to dairy, eggs, tree nuts, coconut, peanuts, wheat (gluten), soybean, and cinnamon.
What You’ll Need To Succeed:
* Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
* Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills required.
* Knowledge of UMS methods and use of UMS tools.
* Ability to complete EWOs to root cause.
* Knowledge of the Kaizen process.
* Advanced project management skills sufficient to effectively work cross-functionally with other departments to adhere to timelines.
* Experience working in a maintenance shop, using power tools, bench tools, and other various machinery.
* Willingness to work on the manufacturing floor and be exposed to mechanical operations and cleaning/caustic solutions.
* Required to occasionally lift 50 lbs.
