As one of the fastest growing and highest rated commercial energy suppliers in the UK, we are looking to recruit an experienced Metering Analyst, based at our offices in Guiseley, Leeds.
This role is an excellent opportunity to get your teeth stuck into the energy industry as part of a team. You will be exposed to various aspects of our business and be a key part of our internal growth. Our analysts in Operations ensure accurate information is held on internal systems, monitor the quality of data provided by the customer and industry to ensure accurate billing.

Responsibilities
Supporting Gas and Electricity Metering Processes:
* Coordinate and manage metering tasks, including:
o Agent Appointments: Ensure the correct Meter Operator (MOP), Data Collector (DC), and other relevant agents are appointed.
o Meter Exchanges, Installations, and Removals: Oversee the installation, exchange, and removal of gas and electric meters, ensuring accurate data flow.
o Metering Faults Resolution: Identify and address meter faults, ensuring proper corrective action is taken.
o Exception Management: Handle and resolve exceptions to ensure smooth metering data processes.
o Communication Faults: Manage Non-Half Hourly (NHH), Half Hourly (HH), and Gas AMR issues, working with technical teams and third-party agents to restore communication flows.
Read Disputes Process Management:
* Oversee the read disputes process, including:
o Raising and following up on SARs and D300s to resolve discrepancies and maintain data integrity.
SMETS Processes Support:
* Provide support for Smart Metering (SMETS) processes, including:
o Change of Supplier (COS) Gain and Loss: Ensure accurate data transfer and system updates during supplier changes.
o Alerts and Error Handling: Manage and resolve USR errors, as well as handle alerts.
o Firmware Updates: Coordinate and support firmware updates to keep metering systems up-to-date.
Industry and UGP Project Support:
* Participate in and support industry and internal projects, such as:
o Market-Wide Half Hourly Settlement (MHHS) Data Cleanse: Assist in cleansing and validating data for industry compliance.
o RTS Meters Transition: Support the transition and removal of RTS meters.
o P432 Half Hourly Settlement for Current Transformer (CT) Advanced Metering Systems: Aid in the rollout and data integration of advanced metering for half-hourly settlements.
Data Analysis and Reconciliation:
* Conduct detailed analysis and reconciliation of metering data, identifying discrepancies and trends for improved accuracy and reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
* Collaborate with other UGP teams to resolve complex customer and industry-related issues, sharing insights and best practices.
Query Resolution and Customer Support:
* Manage and respond to customer and industry queries related to data quality, metering technicalities, and regulatory requirements.
* Support customers by providing clear, timely updates and solutions for metering queries.
Internal Liaison and Process Improvement:
* Work with internal teams to identify, develop, and implement process improvements, ensuring metering processes remain compliant with evolving industry standards.
Administrative Support:
* Provide day-to-day administrative support for the team, ensuring timely resolution of tasks and accurate record-keeping.
Adaptability to Industry Changes:
* Remain informed and adaptable to changes in industry standards, processes, and regulations, with responsibilities subject to modification to align with new industry requirements and practices.
