Job Description
This role is part of the Surveillance Systems, Analytics and Optimisation Team which forms part of the Global Surveillance Team, within the Natixis Corporate Investment Bank (CIB) Compliance team
You will help to optimise the surveillance framework and be responsible for the following:
1. In coordination with Global Surveillance teams, evaluation of alert trends in order to optimize system parameters and model configuration
2. Liaison with Surveillance vendors and support communication of Natixis Surveillance business requirements
3. Support continuous improvement through coverage enhancement proposals (related to new entities, products, platforms), improve analysis approach, documentation and training
4. Master the system configuration options and suggest changes to parameters in order to enhance the detection capabilities and to obtain more pertinent alerts
5. Establish and maintain risk based automated and manual surveillance controls in support of the Global Surveillance programme
6. In coordination with Global Surveillance teams, support the learning and development of the Global Surveillance teams. Advise and implement best practices, serve as subject matter expert as part of Surveillance leadership team
7. Investigate and escalate issues to various Compliance, IT, Front Office IT stakeholders
8. Drive continuous improvement through coverage enhancements (new entities, products, platforms), as well as via inclusive leadership and mentoring.
9. Advise on quality issues relating to alerts on trading activity generated from Natixis surveillance systems or manual controls and alert review procedures in order to detect abnormal or suspicious activity (Market Manipulation, Insider Dealing).
10. Analyse data inputs and outputs to facilitate reconstruction of the lifecycle of alerted trades from order to execution to support alert decisioning
11. Master the system configuration options and suggest changes to parameters in order to enhance the detection capabilities and to obtain more pertinent alerts
12. Partner with Compliance and IT resources to aide Natixis’ transition from existing surveillance systems to new generation systems
13. Prepare the management reporting related to alert quality indicators; present information to Global Surveillance teams
Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience
• Regulatory knowledge (Market Abuse Regulation, Conduct rules)
• Project Management skills strongly preferred - Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, ability to deal confidently and persuasively with a wide variety of stakeholders
• Familiarity with traded products: Commodities, Equity, OTC derivatives, bonds, options, Foreign Exchange (FX)
• Ability to analyse, summarize and succinctly communicate assessments and key takeaways
• Quantitative / data background, relational database, SQL
• Risk assessment, quality assurance and testing management experience
• Capability to use reporting tools to build Management Reporting (i.e. Tableau)
• Knowledge of Refinitiv & Bloomberg Market data providers (i.e. API, datascope select)
• Change Management / Transformation skills
