Position: Unit Catering Manager
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only
Location: Monkspath Primary School, 5 Farmhouse Way, Shirley, Solihull, B90 4EH
You will need to be an enthusiastic, self-motivated person able to undertake general kitchen duties. You must be approachable and understand the diverse needs of customers. You will need to be flexible, adaptable, and open to change. You must be able to respond to meet customers' individual needs, using appropriate methods to communicate.
Qualifications: You will need to hold an NVQ Level 2 Award in Hospitality and Catering Principles along with Level 2 Food Safety.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Set and maintain a high standard of quality food presentation and service, ensuring all food is served at the right temperature, garnished, and presented appropriately.
2. Order, prepare, and cook food following the Centralised menu plan for breakfasts, lunches, buffets, and promotions, ensuring the Government's Nutritional/Food-based Standards are met.
3. Compile and submit all statistical documentation required by the central administration office, e.g., trading sheets, payroll adjustment sheets, and periodic stock control sheets.
4. Prepare or delegate the preparation of the dining area for all types of catering requirements, including function catering.
