Key Traits of Recovery Station:
* We love what we do because everyone's role contributes to helping our clients live a more independent, empowered life
* Collaborating with passionate, likeminded colleagues facilitates personal and professional growth
* Keeping personalised care at the heart of what we do challenges us to seek new and innovative ways to deliver life-changing service
How We Make an Impact
Recovery Station provides community and clinic-based allied health services, with a strong focus on disability and senior health. For nearly 20 years we have consistently grown and now proudly offer services nationally via telepractice and in the community across Sydney, the Hunter, Central Coast, Illawarra and Melbourne.
Together, our passionate, multidisciplinary team of OTs, Mental Health OTs, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians and Allied Health Assistants collaboratively share their knowledge and experience to holistically design an individualised service to help improve the quality of life for people living with a disability or looking to age as independently as possible.
Your Day to Day
A clinical position with us is multi-faceted, allowing you to work in a way that allows you to be your best while also seeing our clients in the capacity that most appropriately matches their needs.
Your day could start by working from home or in the clinic to do some reports alongside your colleagues, with afternoons spent visiting clients in their homes, group homes or aged care facilities. Working in a community role allows you to have flexibility and control over structuring your day.
Our team balances working from our Neutral Bay or Liverpool offices with working from home, and this role can be either part-time or full-time. Depending on your location, we'll tailor your caseload to service clients within the North Shore, 7 Beaches, Inner-West or Eastern suburbs. Your admin support team will work with you on scheduling appointments to ensure you aren't zigzagging around Sydney, and you'll have clients to see close to home.
Day to day, you will support your clients to achieve an optimal state of personal, social and emotional wellbeing, as defined by the individual needs of each person. You will achieve this by working with them to identify barriers to optimal functioning through interventions that focus on enhancing existing skills, creating opportunities, promoting wellness, remediating or restoring skills, modifying or adapting the environment or activity, and preventing relapse.
You will be trained to provide trauma-informed, person-centred, evidence-based interventions for people in our community experiencing moderate to severe mental health presentations.
