What we can offer you: - A competitive salary - Performance-related bonus scheme - 28 days bank holiday leave - Pension contribution - Casual dress Qair’s Liverpool office is seeking a skilled and experienced senior Solar PV/Battery Energy Storage engineer to join our growing team: Location: Liverpool City Centre Office (hybrid, four days per week in the office) Hours: Full-time, Mon-Fri Salary: Competitive Key Responsibilities Utilize industry-standard software to advance technical designs from preliminary to detailed stages. Optimize layouts and energy yields through iterating across different equipment and configurations. Design in accordance with industry codes and standards, considering feedback from other areas Assist in preparing pre- and post-construction documentation. Lead and support technical due diligence processes, including engagements with Lenders’ Technical Advisors (LTAs). Serve as the technical lead for tender preparation and Request for Quotation (RFQ) development and evaluation. Review and define contract technical requirements (e.g., Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC) processes) and establish tracking mechanisms for compliance. Conduct on-site verification of installations and testing to ensure alignment with designs, regulations, standards, and internal procedures. Coordinate and evaluate pre-construction technical surveys Manage relationships with Owner’s Engineers and Independent Connection Providers (ICPs). Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field) Experience in planning and executing utility-scale solar power projects Proficiency in solar PV design software (i.e. PVsyst and PVCase) with a strong understanding of renewable energy systems Strong analytical, problem-solving, and system optimization skills Min 3 years of relevant demonstrable experience If you’re passionate about renewable energy and eager to contribute to impactful renewable energy projects, we’d love to hear from you
