Position Title:
Assistant Football Academy Manager
Description:
We are looking for a passionate individual with a background in Sport to become the Assistant Football Academy Manager at our Pro:Direct Academy site in Daventry, Northampton.
As an Assistant Academy Manager, you will oversee the work of Educators in the Academy to ensure that learners attending the Academy progress through their qualification in a suitable and timely manner.
You will ensure that the Academy possesses sufficient resources for staff and learners, which are in good working order. You must maintain the health and safety of all staff, learners and visitors to the Academy.
Salary Per Annum: £26,000
Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Football Academy Manager, you will:
* Plan and oversee the operation of the academy
* Ensure that Educators are appropriately trained
* Ensure that the Academy’s facilities and systems are appropriate for the qualifications being delivered
* Ensure that all Awarding Body information is disseminated to the Academy staff
* Ensure that Awarding Body requirements for administrative arrangements are carried out at the appropriate time
* Ensure that training takes place daily for all learners as set down in the learning plans for each qualification
* Ensure that Educators adhere to the individual targets and training plans agreed with learners
* Ensure that Educators are using the prescribed lesson plans and training packs efficiently
* Ensure that training sessions are evaluated for improvements by training staff
* Ensure that trainee staff follow a suitable training programme
Person Specification:
Candidates without a particular qualification which we have listed as 'essential' need not be discouraged from applying if they are willing to undertake appropriate training in-post.
Essential Experience:
* Industry related, minimum 5 years
Essential Qualifications:
* Level 3 Industry related qualification or higher
* Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT
* CIAVA (Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement)
* Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training or equivalent
* Level 3 Management / Team Leader / Supervisor
* IOSH
* Safeguarding Level 1
* Designated Safeguarding Lead
This role will require a commitment to safeguarding and the post holder will undergo training for health & safety, safeguarding, prevent and EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) and GDPR.
