BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting an experienced Payroll Programme Manager. This position will involve a mixture of working from home and any of our UK&I offices. BAM operates a flexible working policy.
Your mission
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and high motivated Payroll Programme Manager to lead and deliver a new payroll solution. The Programme Manager will be accountable for ensuring the successful delivery of the implementation.
Job Description:
• Programme Leadership
o Lead the end to end delivery of the payroll solution on time and within budget
o Work with the People Services Manager and Payroll manager to ensure all business and statutory requirements are met
o Define and manage the programme roadmap, milestones and deliverables in alignment with the business goals
o Oversee project governance, risk management and compliance to ensure quality approach to project delivery
• Stakeholder Management
o Act as the primary point of contact for all project communications
o Work constructively with all stakeholders to ensure that the end to end process, key business controls and system meets the need of both Finance and HR
• Team Management
o Lead and a cross functional team
o Provide guidance to the Payroll SME’s throughout the delivery lifecycle and help to resolve issues.
• Resource Management
o Develop and manage programme budget, resources and timelines, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources and adherence to financial constraints
• Change Management
o Drive the change management strategy to ensure adoption of new solution and ways of working across the business
o Develop and execute training and communication plan to prepare end-users
• Building strong working relationships with the implementation partners and their team to ensure strong collaboration and a focus on a successful outcome
Who are we looking for?
Experience:
• Minimum of 10 year experience of full payroll lifecycle implementation – preferably SAP experience
• Proven track record of successfully implementing payroll solutions
• Certification on UK and Ireland payroll requirements
• Strong background in project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall) and tools (
Skills:
• Leadership, Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive change
• Knowledge of Finance processes relating to payroll
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
