Joining our Information Security team, you’ll support the Information Security Manager in ensuring our information, systems and networks are protected.
This is a varied role and you’ll be involved in everything from ensuring business compliance with information security policies, maintaining security controls and performing risk and vulnerability assessments.
No two days will be the same and the variety of our operations will stretch you, but you’ll be supported every step of the way.
Key responsibilities :
* Help to assess the compliance of hardware and software configurations against policies, legal and regulatory requirements.
* With an awareness of security controls, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our systems and infrastructure components.
* You’ll conduct risk and vulnerability assessments to identify the potential for security issues, working with colleagues to remediate.
* And when a security breach is suspected, you’ll support investigations and resulting actions.
* You’ll also help to evolve our policy and strategy and support a culture of good information management through communications and training.
About you
Essential Criteria
* With a relevant degree or Level 3 IT apprenticeship, you might also have a qualification in information security, cyber security, information management, risk management (or a similar).
* With experience of having worked in information systems management, you’ll be familiar with information security principles and practices, ISO 27001 or NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework or similar a security framework would be advantageous but not essential.
* A good communicator, you can provide advice and guidance with confidence and credibility and can communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
* At your best working as part of a team, you’re able to cultivate productive working relationships and collaborate effectively with others to accomplish common objectives.
* With an analytical mindset, you actively seek process improvements to enhance information security.
