Job Summary:
The Shared Service Centre Accountant will be responsible for managing and executing various financial processes within the SSC. This role requires a meticulous and organised individual with strong analytical skills and experience in a shared services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
1. Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
2. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records in compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
3. Assist in the preparation of management reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
4. Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
5. Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
6. Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payables and receivables.
General Ledger Management:
7. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
8. Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end closing.
9. Assist in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
Compliance and Internal Controls:
10. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
11. Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
12. Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
Process Improvement:
13. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency's within the SSC.
14. Participate in the development and implementation of new processes and systems.
15. Provide training and support to other team members on financial processes and systems.
Collaboration and Support:
16. Collaborate with other departments and business units to support financial operations and resolve issues.
17. Provide financial insights and support to management for decision-making purposes.
18. Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
19. Qualified by experience.
20. Qualified CIMA, ACA, ACCA.
