The Opportunity
We are looking for a full-time remote Senior Software Engineer in either Ireland, Italy, UK or Canada to join the NGIS team to help with the development and delivery of our TraceMark Software as a Service products. The TraceMark Sustainable Solution factory includes products for Sustainable Sourcing (https://tracemark.com/eudr), Sustainable Cities (https://tracemark.com/flow), and Sustainable Fashion (https://materialsimpactexplorer.com/).
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building full-stack web, desktop, and mobile applications based on customer requirements. You will primarily be working on TraceMark Software as a Service solutions as part of a high-performing, multinational software development team. You will need to have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to work independently, occasionally dealing directly with clients.
About You
1. At least 5 years of commercial software development experience and familiarity with agile software development processes.
2. At least 2 years developing Angular CLI applications.
3. At least 2 years developing applications using .NET Core and/or Node.js.
4. Experience in developing and maintaining systems on either SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
5. Experience in developing and maintaining systems hosted in either Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
The following skills are highly regarded:
1. Python development.
2. Mobile development experience.
3. Adobe Creative Cloud experience especially Xd for mock-ups.
4. Any experience with mapping tools, GIS, or spatial data.
5. Customer engagement and communication skills.
